About

One of the most common sentiments I have heard over the past several decades is how we have gradually been losing what many have come to recognize as genuine, authentic, or raw talent in music, and what has gradually emerged is musical combinations so often inundated with electronics, light shows, and theatrics by the performers that whatever is intended to serve as a connection between artist and listener is frequently lost completely in the first few seconds of the tract or performance.

This blog is an effort to not only provide a place to post music videos, music, comments, and my writings on various subject matter, but is also a place which will hopefully serve as a way to preserve what real music is truly made of before it gets lost to those who would settle for making music which takes much less effort, makes the most money in a short amount of time, and lacks the meaning we so often look for in music.

As with most, this site is a work in progress and will hopefully be updated regularly, so feel free to check often for a place to get lost in some music, and if you are so moved by any artist or music video that you would like to see become an addition to this collection, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

“Don’t be tempted by the shiny apple
Don’t you eat of a bitter fruit
Hunger only for a taste of justice
Hunger only for a world of truth
Cause all that you have is your soul” -Tracy Chapman
